Breathless Punta Cana is a 5 star luxury adults only resort. It is an all-inclusive where all amenities are included in your stay. You can get food and drinks at any time you’d like.
It was a 45 minute taxi ride from the Punta Cana airport (PUJ) to the resort. We decided to grab a taxi at the airport to get to the resort. On the way back to the airport we got the bell man to schedule us a taxi back to the airport. It was $70 one way. Breathless is located on the northeast coast of the Dominican Republic.
When we arrived at the resort they greeted us with cold towels and a welcome drink. They took our luggage to take to our room while we checked in. We for sure received tropical princess treatment in the Dominican.
This was a 5 star resort and the rooms were clean and well kept. That was my request when finding a resort to stay at. This exceeded my expectation with cleanliness. The rooms were also very spacious. The staff went above and beyond throughout our whole stay. All-inclusive means all amenities included. Breathless had luxurious meals and drinks, the beach was pristine, and the resort offers live music and crafted cocktails. The room fridges were stocked with drinks that were included in the stay.
This resort was a mix between laid back and a social scene. There were different pools that you could choose the vibe you are feeling. There was a quiet pool, lazy river, and a pool with a DJ and music. Our room had a balcony view of the pool and we could hear the music at the pool any time during the day.
There were multiple bars located around the resort. They would have swim up bars, craft cocktail stations for special drinks, and beach bars. The beach had light brown sand and water that was as clear as drinking water. The sun gave it a nice blue hue during the day.
There were palm trees and palapas on the beach. Locals can walk around to sell things while you are on the beach. You definitely have to get some jewelry, back massage, and a coconut. I then went to the beach bar and added rum to the coconut juice.
It is so relaxing at the beach because you can stay in the water and see your feet at the bottom. There are no waves and the water is serene. It is pure zen relaxing in the ocean at this resort. What I truly loved about this resort was that this was adult only. It made the atmosphere more tranquil and 100% a paradise.
Breathless Punta Cana also has a spa called Relax. I got a massage for an hour and it was a must when on this tropical island. You can go an hour early and chill in the ice bath, sauna, and pool. I chose just the pool experience before my massage.
The restaurants at night were my favorite. They had multiple restaurants that were fine dining. The food was delicious. Silk City was the only restaurant you had to make reservations at. The other ones you can walk in and eat dinner with zero wait time. The restaurants are upscale dining for dinner. It is also fun to get dressed up to go out to dinner after a peaceful beach day.
For breakfast and lunch you can eat the buffet at the restaurant Spoon. The Barefoot Grill was located on the beach and you could eat outside under palm trees for lunch.
As a Breathless guest, you also have full access to Dreams® Onyx Resort & Spa right next door. We never went over there because there was so much to do right at our resort.
Overall, Breathless will take your breathe away. This resort encompasses the overall Dominican culture and Caribbean paradise. We booked through Cheap Caribbean and made sure to read all the reviews. That website allowed us to enjoy this 5 star resort in the Caribbean. We were in a Dominican daze!
