Liechtenstein

Liechtenstein is the 6 smallest country in the world.

We went to the capital city of Vaduz. We did a tour from Zürich, Switzerland on a bus. We crossed the border and you did not have to have your passport present coming from Switzerland.

You can get a passport stamp for 3 Swiss Francs in the souvenir shop in Vaduz. I didn’t bring my passport so I was sad I didn’t get to have a stamp in my passport. So instead I bought a post card and asked them to stamp that for my souvenir and memories.

There is a royal family and prince of the country and they have a castle situated on the hill in Vaduz. It is called Vaduz Castle. It is the palace and official residence of the Prince of Liechtenstein. The castle gave its name to the town of Vaduz, the capital of Liechtenstein, which it overlooks from an adjacent hilltop. Be sure to look up and gaze at this unique castle.

You will want to get your picture in front of or around the Regierungsgebäude des Fürstentums Liechtenstein because it is a beautiful view in the background and scenery.

Be sure to walk around and take in the small country and find different photo ops.

We went to the Cafe Restaurant Engel Asian & Local to get the Apple strudel and it was delicious. I highly recommend a stop here.

Our tour was a little over an hour here, but that was enough to walk and explore a little of the town area of Vaduz, Liechtenstein.
