Oktoberfest in Helen, Georgia

Prost! 🍻

Cheers!

Oktoberfest in Helen, Georgia is a must to visit and partake in.

We went down October 26th weekend. It was a time to be had. It reminds me of a pub crawl in the mountains with a German feel. We drove into Helen and parked on the outside of the main road so that we could walk the streets. The traffic line was only about 20 minutes and we got there at around 1:00.

Our first stop was food at Bigg Daddy’s Restaurant and Tavern. We ate lunch here and it was delicious! I had chicken and waffles and they were some of the best I’ve ever tried.

We then ventured to our first stop at Cafe International. Here you can get a drink, chill, and listen to music.

The next stop on the walk was the Troll Tavern. You have to walk downstairs near the river for this restaurant. Here we got a drink and watched the duck races.

We then kept on and stopped at some other bars along the way, shops, coffee, and ice cream.

My favorite spot was the best photo spot to go to and had the best music, seating, food, atmosphere, and fun for Oktoberfest. You will be herded into a large tent and this is the center of the Oktoberfest party. We stayed here a bit because the vibe was just what we came to witness.

This was my first time at Oktoberfest and I recommend this place for a good time. The foot long corn dog is a must to eat. The tent party was the best party downtown Helen.

We ate dinner at Two Tire Tavern and they had a live band and delicious wings. We loved being in the atmosphere of Oktoberfest in this Bavarian inspired town in Alpine Helen.

We stayed in a camper at Jenny’s Creek Family Campground. This was a beautiful spot 10 minutes from downtown Helen.
